Advanced Features
Advanced Features affect how the actor is processed in the platform.
Shot Type
For best results leave these settings at their default values as they directly impact MoCap results.
This feature predicts shot types for selected actors, impacting the AI MoCap result. It's usually recommended to let the system estimate shot types automatically. However, if you're unsatisfied with the final MoCap results, you can manually set the "Shot Type" to a value you believe is most suitable.
Auto
This mode is used in the Live Action Easy project type.
In this mode, Shot Type for an actor is detected automatically.
Wide
Wide Shot: A shot that captures the full body of the actor. This mode requires the pelvis and feet to be visible, in most frames, to give the best MoCap results.
Medium
Medium Shot: A shot that frames the actor from the waist up. This mode requires the pelvis to be visible, in most frames, to give the best MoCap results.
Close Up
Close-Up Shot: A shot that focuses closely on the actor's face. This mode is suitable when the pelvis and legs are not visible.
Motion Type
For best results leave these settings at their default values as they directly impact MoCap results.
This feature estimates the actor's movement speed in the shot, which affects the final AI MoCap result and is usually best left to the system's automatic estimation. However, if you're unhappy with the results (e.g., stiffness or noise), you can manually set the "Motion Type".
Auto
This mode is used in the Live Action Easy project type.
In this mode, Motion Type is detected automatically.
Slow
Slow motion type (standing, sitting, etc.) reduces the noise in the MoCap data making the animation calmer and more stable.
Medium
Medium motion type (walking, turning, etc.) balances between reducing noise and preserving motion, producing more stable animation when movement is moderate.
Fast
Fast motion type (running, dancing, etc.) captures MoCap with the most details and nuance. As the noise is not a primary concern with fast movement but the motion range, this option produces lively animation for action shots.
