Image to 3D

The Image to 3D Wonder Tool allows you to generate a 3D model from a single image.

By uploading an image containing a main object or character, the system reconstructs a 3D mesh representation and displays the result directly in the 3D Viewer.

The tool supports two models: Wonder 3D and Trellis 2. Each model has its own characteristics and can be selected depending on the use case.

Once generated, the 3D model can be previewed, refined, and exported in multiple industry-standard formats for use in DCC tools, game engines, or 3D printing pipelines.

Wonder 3D

How It Works

  1. Upload an image that contains a clear object or character.
  2. The system analyzes the image and reconstructs a 3D mesh.
  3. The generated model is displayed in the interactive 3D Viewer.
  4. Optionally apply remeshing or texturing.
  5. Download the final 3D asset in your desired format.

Supported Export Formats

You can download the generated 3D model in the following formats:

  • .obj – Widely supported across DCC tools
  • .stl – Optimized for 3D printing workflows
  • .usd – Suitable for modern USD-based pipelines
  • .glb – Compact format for web, real-time, and AR/VR

The output model is a polygonal mesh representation of the object reconstructed from the input image.

Limitations & Tips

Limitations

  • Reconstruction quality depends heavily on the input image.
  • Extremely complex backgrounds may reduce accuracy.
  • Transparent or reflective objects may produce incomplete geometry.

Tips for Best Results

  • Use high-quality, high-resolution images.
  • Ensure the image contains one main object or character.
  • simple, easy-to-predict background significantly improves results.
  • Objects should be fully visible and not heavily occluded.
  • Both objects and characters are supported.

Trellis2

Trellis2 enhances mesh generation by providing model quality with higher detail, and more refined textures.

How It Works

  1. Upload an image that contains a clear object or character.
  2. The system analyzes the image and reconstructs a 3D mesh.
  3. The generated model is displayed in the interactive 3D Viewer.
  4. Optionally apply texturing.
  5. Download the final 3D asset in your desired format.

Limitations & Tips

Limitations

  • Due to the structure of the generated 3D models, remeshing is not fully supported.
  • Due to the structure of the generated 3D models, rigging is not supported.
  • Reconstruction quality depends heavily on the input image.
  • Extremely complex backgrounds may reduce accuracy.
  • Transparent or reflective objects may produce incomplete geometry.
